Welcome to the Intelligent and Efficient Data Communications (IEDC) Laboratory at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU)! At IEDC, we conduct research on smart and trusted energy-efficient communications circuits and systems for a variety of consumer, biomedical, and sensing applications. As an interdisciplinary group working at the interface of integrated circuits, microsystems, and biology, we have particular interest in:
A) Ultra-low power RF/analog integrated circuits and systems,
B) Novel low-energy and low-overhead analog lightweight cryptography,
C) Embedded low-overhead trust techniques for RF/analog integrated circuits,
D) Energy-efficient high temperature integrated circuits, and
E) Highly-Efficient Power and Data Transfer to Biomedical Implants.
The lab is located in the 7th floor of the Glennan Building and has access to the needed high frequency and high temperature measurement/characterization equipment to support the ongoing research.
